Funny Story

There is a mother and girl who often come into the library and while the mom uses the computer, the girl (who is about 8 years old) asks me for books about various things, like human skeletons or elephants or volcanoes. As I was walking home from work tonight with David I saw these patrons and waved hello. The little girl waved back and said, "Is that your Dad?" Wow. Either I look really young or David's beard ages him more than he thought.

Also, one of the regulars, an older man with white hair past his shoulders who looks unkempt and carries lots of plastic bags full of stuff, was sitting in the reference room while I was on the desk. I didn't see this directly, but my co-worker said he started to open the umbrella he had with him and twirl it around while staring at it in wonderment. My co-worker also said she saw him walking around town with the same huge gold umbrella open on a sunny day to shield himself from damaging UV rays. Haha.

Beauties in a Sea of White

Mom, me, and Erin at the Macy's bridal salon in NYC. Look at all those amazing dresses! Thanks to my favorite saleslady Lilly I found the perfect one... but no one is allowed to see it until Dec 17!

Bad blogger

I haven't posted anything for a while, so here's an update:

My jobs are going well. The public library patrons are special...

I repotted our fig tree yesterday and it looks happier already

It's hot and airconditioning is expensive! We went from a $35 utility bill to a $110 utility bill last month

Ummm, that's all I can think of right now.
